In the Letter to the IV National Judicial Conference in February 1948, President Ho Chi Minh also affirmed that: “…The Ministry of Justice is a principal agency of the Government…”.
With our history of development spanning over 75 years, the Ministry of Justice and the justice sector as a whole have the increasing important roles and functions recognized and upheld in the state structure and society. In order to introduce and promote the image of the Ministry of Justice to international partners, the English brochure of the Ministry has been developed by the International Cooperation Department about overview of responsibilities, duties and powers of the Ministry of Justice and its affiliates. The brochure includes 7 parts: (1) general introduction about the Ministry of Justice; (2) the Ministers of Justice through the periods and current leaders of the Ministry; (3) our responsibilities; (4) what we do; (5) organizational structure; (6) introduction about affiliated departments and units; (7) pieces of primary and delegated legislation that stipulate the functions, tasks and powers of the Ministry of Justice from 1945 to present.
